Involving Supervisors and Line Managers

Most core decisions in an Organisation are taken at senior level. Line managers and supervisors play a crucial role in the day to day operations and interactions of staff

Their involvement in the planning of the equality policy, their ability to communicate policies and to explain new approaches is on the front line of bringing equality of opportunity to individual employees.

Issues about discrimination or prejudice may reach line managers or supervisors in the first instance. They need to be able to respond with factual information on organisation policy.
