Employer Organisations

The main Employers Organisations in Ireland are Irish Business & Employers Confederation (IBEC), Construction Industry Federation (CIF), Society of the Irish Motor Industry, and Irish Small & Medium Enterprise Association (ISME). IBEC is by far the largest of these Organisations.

According to the 1941 Trade Unions Act employers organisations are obliged to register as trade unions if they wish to engage in collective bargaining.
