Welcome to the fourth and final erb monitor edition for 2009, the e-newsletter of the Community Sector Employers Forum (CSEF) keeping you informed on essential employment law issues.
In this edition we look at some of the important HRM issues of the day which need to be considered by managers. The first article examines the procedure for conducting a Disciplinary Interview and the effects it can have on both the employer and employee. There are 3 stages to this process consisting of the Before, During and After.
The second article looks some of the practical considerations which should be taken on board when preparing for a Rights Commissioner hearing.
The third article sets out some practical precautions for employers who are considering holding a Christmas Party.
The final article looks at a recent Rights Commissioner determination whereby DELL were ordered to pay compensation to former employees because of inadequacies in how the company implemented redundancies.
