In the current worsening economic environment government funding
cuts for the community and voluntary sector are on the agenda. What can YOU
do about it?
Support the voice of the community sector
– The Community Sector Employers Forum (CSEF). By becoming a
member of your representative body, you strengthen our hand and
give us a strong collective voice in our dealings with
government.
The aim of the CSEF is to improve the quality of employment in
the sector by -
- Developing a strong collective voice for community sector
employers at national level
- Providing services to employers to enable them to improve
human resource practices
Over 100 diverse organisations have joined the CESF. We have
built strong links with the Labour Relations Commission, IBEC
and the other social partners. The CSEF produces policy papers,
organises events for employers, liaises with other employer
bodies, trade unions and makes representations to government.
Membership is free and open to all community and voluntary organisations
which employ staff. Employers’ Forum members should be committed to
best employment practice. The CSEF aims to work within a
partnership model of industrial relations and encourages a positive
attitude towards trade union membership.
The Forum is supported by Dublin
Employment Pact. For further information, updates and to become a
member please contact Jean Somers at jsomers@dublinpact.ie.
